Tap the + button in the top right corner of any task list, or use Quick Entry (⌘N on Mac) to capture a task from anywhere in the app. Type a title, optionally add a due date, priority, or project, and tap Save.
Open the Workspace tab, then tap the + button in the projects section. Give your project a name and an optional description. Tasks can be assigned to projects when you create or edit them.
When you edit a task, enable the Repeat option and choose a frequency — daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. You can set specific weekdays for weekly tasks and limit recurrence by end date or number of occurrences. When you complete a recurring task, the next occurrence is created automatically.
Planner uses iCloud CloudKit to sync your data across all your Apple devices. Sync happens automatically in the background. There is no manual sync button — changes appear on your other devices within seconds when you’re online.
Check the following:
If sync still doesn’t work, go to Settings → Sync in the app to see the sync status and any error messages.
Not directly — Planner does not have a trash or recycle bin in version 1.0. If you use the Export feature (Settings → Export) regularly, you can restore from a backup by importing the exported file.

Yes. Open a task, scroll to the Calendar section, and tap Create Calendar Event. Planner will create an event in your default calendar and link it to the task. Changes to the event are reflected in the task view.
When editing a task, enable the Reminder option. Choose whether the reminder fires before the start date or due date, and how many minutes in advance. The reminder is delivered as a standard iOS/macOS notification.
Make sure Planner has permission to send notifications in your device Settings.
On iPhone or iPad, long-press your Home Screen, tap + in the top left, search for Planner, and choose a widget size. On Mac, open Notification Center and click Edit Widgets.
Widgets refresh automatically but the system controls how often. To force a refresh, open Planner briefly — this triggers a widget update. If the widget still shows stale data, try removing and re-adding it.
Your data is stored in two places:
Planner does not have its own servers. We never see your data.

No. Planner is a one-time purchase. You pay once and own the app forever, including all future updates.
The iPhone/iPad app and the Mac app are currently sold separately. If you want Planner on both platforms, you need to purchase each version from the respective App Store.
On iOS: Open the App Store, search for Planner, and it should show as already purchased (no charge). If not, tap Restore Purchases in the app or in the App Store.
On Mac: Open the Mac App Store and check Account → Purchased.
